A weekend in San Angelo

We're spending Labor Day weekend in San Angelo, at the home of Belinda's mother. On our way yesterday, we stopped in Big Spring, where Charles had an appointment at the VA hospital. As we made our way south to San Angelo, we passed by a thunderstorm that was developing to the east. It was interesting and fun to watch.

Today was given over to resting and some errands in the afternoon. We did make time for lunch at Logan's, where Belinda enjoyed the tiny serving bucket in which her brownie a` la mode came.

This evening, we attended worship at Sierra Vista UMC. Their new associate pastor, the Rev. Phil Steinbach, preached the sermon. After the service, Pastor Phil and his wife Debbie greeted the congregation. It was a joy to welcome them to the San Angelo District of the SWTX Conference of the UMC. Also, we were happy to sit next to our district superintendent, the Rev. Larry Altman, during worship!
