A very busy Sunday, part 1

Today was a whirlwind of activity!

Our day begins at 5:15 a.m., when Charles rises to prepare his spirit for the day's activities. We had a wonderful service at the
First UMC in Iraan, with the congregation still abuzz over the weekend's homecoming activities at the high school. We followed that service with one at the First UMC in McCamey, where the community was coming off of the annual three-day bluegrass festival. With special music (including third graders from the primary school leading the congregation in the school song) and presentations to several church members, there was something for young and old alike!
-------------------------
We then joined the congregation in the fellowship hall for one of the best-ever potlucks anywhere! The congregation invites new teachers in the McCamey school district to share this time with us, which is a really neat tradition. Following that, it was off to the Convalescent Center for their afternoon worship service!
