Friday in west Texas (Iraan Homecoming)

After we left McCamey, we drove to Iraan and arrived at Iraan High School in time to take in the pre-game homecoming festivities. All around the town, businesses had decorated their store-fronts with supportive messages for the Iraan football team and welcoming messages to the high school "exes" who were visiting for their reunion this weekend. (The first picture above was taken outside the Iraan hospital -- in supportive of the Iraan Big Red Band. The banner reads: "And the beat goes on... From the "Lucky" years. Later in the game's half-time, there was a special recognition about this.) We had a great time watching Iraan take on Eunice (NM), which Iraan won: 38-36!
