Friday in west Texas (part 1)

We had a very busy Friday, so busy that it will take several blog installments to capture the highlights! Aside from the work-a-day activities, there was a trip to Odessa/Midland for Charles where he ran a number of errands. He spotted the first picture, a tribute to 9/11, surrounding a lake in Odessa.

When Belinda got home from the wellness center it was off to the Bluegrass Festival. Charles had been asked to deliver the opening prayer for the second evening of the festival.

Next was a quick drive to the McCamey schools' cafeteria, where Bobbie & Bill Lester were waiting. Before tonight's McCamey home football game, there was a "spaghetti feed," which was really delicious! Charles really enjoyed talking to folks about the various buttons they were sporting. Some had pictures of their favorite football players; some had pictures of their favorite cheerleaders, etc. Some wore their buttons in the usual places. Some wore their buttons around the front of their waists, like a pseudo-belt of "buttons!" Charles was in "button heaven!"

We then jumped in the car and were off to Iraan!
