Sunday in Georgia

Sunday was a busy day in north Georgia, with Charles and Belinda joining Dee Dee and her Uncle Bill for worship at Ephesus Baptist Church in Douglasville. It was a spirit-filled assembly, and the early service was packed with hundreds of people alive with the Spirit!

Dee Dee had to leave for home (in southern Georgia) following worship; so after loading up her two bassett hounds, Gracie and Bailey, she headed out on the six-hour drive. Charles and Belinda meanwhile headed back for a third day in Atlanta!

Our objective was a tour of the CNN facilities in Atlanta, which was really amazing! We got a terrific behind-the-scenes tour and enjoyed learning more about the business of presenting the news. We then headed back to the Georgia Aquarium to take in a show and a behind-the-scenes tour of the aquarium. Wow; it was an eye-opening tour!!! While we were in the area, we also walked around the Olympic Centennial Park, taking in the beauty of this urban park.

At the last minute, we decided to take advantage of our time in the city and attend an Atlanta Braves home game (vs. the LA Dodgers). We had to wait out a strong rain storm before heading to Turner Field , but once we got there had a great time. We toured the Braves Hall of Fame, looked around the field (the site of the Olympic stadium in 1996) and enjoyed the energy of the large crowd. Too bad the Braves lost!
