A busy Saturday, (part 2)

Our Saturday continued late into the chilly night following a brief respite at the cabin. We drove to Bethlehem Lutheran Church on the other side of Linde Lake for the annual "Hunter's Roast Beef Supper." Belinda was certainly happy they were not serving deer for supper! It was a well-oiled machine: Parking lot attendants, cashiers, and a polka band in the sanctuary made everyone feel welcomed. When it was our turn to go to the fellowship hall for supper, we were joined by Leon & Judy and Linda & her husband. The scene in the fellowship hall can only be described by one word: Chaos (but well-run chaos!)!!! There were a lot of people being served, a lot serving and the cacophony of sound was something else indeed!

Following supper, we drove back into Aitkin for the annual " 'Tis the Season" concert offered by The Great River Strings and held at the First Lutheran Church (Aitkin, MN). This group offers a performance experience for musicians of all skill levels and offered a nice evening of seasonal music for the nearly full house.
