A Chilly Thanksgiving Eve in Minnesota

The air has a decidely chilly feel to it today. There is a good chance of a light snowfall this evening to go with the high today of about 37F. First up this morning was the KKIN radio station and their weekly offering of the radio auction; what a hoot! After the "Gobbler Auction," it was into Aitkin for errands before the many Thanksgiving-related events here in town over the next few days.

As we were approaching the only stop light in Aitkin County, we noticed a sign-board announcing a bake sale being conducted by the Fleming United Methodist Church. Fleming is a small village east of Aitkin and the church is a part of the five-point Northern Lights Parish. We had heard that this was an event not to be missed, and, wow, what a selection!!!!

Next up on our list was the laundry. While Belinda was tending to the necessary task of doing the laundry, Charles was just down the street to lend his support (and his arm) for a community blood drive. The Westside Community Church was hosting the Red Cross drive today, and Charles knew that this was the right thing to do :)
PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR SUCH A LOVELY COMMUNITY!!!
