Wisconsin Weekend (part 1)

Note: We went to visit family of Charles in Green Bay, Wisconsin this weekend. Unfortunately, our computer access was faulty at the hotel and so the posts from this weekend were delayed until now.

What a day we've had! It began with a heavy fog over northeastern Minnesota and ended over 400 miles to the east with us settling into our motel in Green Bay, Wisconsin!

Highlights of our Friday included:

Minnesota:

A foggy morning along the shore of Linde Lake

A heartybreakfast at the Schoolhouse Cafe` in McGregor, MN

Wisconsin:

Seeing white pelicans on Lake Superior

Discovering Little Finland (located near Hurley)

Sampling wine at The White Winter Winery in Iron River

The civic murals on numerous buildings in Ashland

Michigan:

Discovering yummy food at the Pasty Corner (an eatery) in Iron River

A scenic drive through a slice of Michigan's Upper Peninsula
