Sunday night, we were honored to be invited to a fondue dinner party at the home of the Reverend and Mrs. Russ Christensen, who live in McGregor, Minnesota. It was a very pleasant 45-minute drive from the lakeside cabin to their parsonage home in McGregor. We were greeted by the family dog, Buddy, who watched the evening's activities with great interest!
In attendance were four United Methodist pastors and their spouses. It was so much fun visiting and dipping all throughout the evening. We enjoyed fondue pots of cheese (in which we dipped bread and various veggies), of oil (where we cooked great steak) and of CHOCOLATE and CARAMEL (where we dipped strawberries, apples and marshmellows).
Afterwards, we played PASSWORD, a really fun word game that squared off the four couples in competition. What a hoot! Why, yes, we did hoot and holler... and a good time was had by all!
Praise be to God for loving folks who open their homes and hearts to both old and new friends!!!
